The Havanese is an incredible little dog. Our personal experiences have been very positive and for the most part, agree with the video posted by Animal Planet.
Grooming them is required for families who want to keep their dog in long coat, but we find it less difficult than the video suggests. Also the video mentions the common problem with cataracts. Regardless of breed of dog, I recommend every person looking to adopt a dog into their family research the Internet for specific genetic potential problems. The Havanese is no different, however not all lines of Havanese have eye problems.
